food is sweet, beautiful and damn sexy, how can one not be infatuated by it? |
It’s an obsession. But a healthy one. Really. Nut butters contain dietary fibre (helps regulate blood cholesterol and sugar levels, and keeps you “regular”), protein (growth and maintenance of cells), vitamin E (antioxidant), vitamin B3 (cancer fighter and helps with sexual function), iron (red blood cell function), calcium (bone and muscle function), magnesium (bone function), copper (energy and hormone function), potassium (hypertension protector), monounsaturated fats (“good” fat that lowers LDL cholesterol). But you have to be careful that the nut butters you consume do not contain insane amounts of sugar and trans fats. So just read the labels, and enjoy a spoon or two ;)
My current favourite: Justin’s Maple Almond Butter. My jar is almost empty. And sadly, it’s not sold here in Winnipeg. I need to make a trip to Fargo very, very soon.
What’s your favourite? Any recommendations? ;)
Peach champagne ring. So beautiful.
good news, i finally found a local vegan granola. (most granola has milk powder and/or honey in it.) and as a bonus, this one turns the (rice) milk...
