So this isn’t really an “about me” section, but more so a little about why I’ve created this blog. But I will introduce myself. My name is Melanie. Nice to meet you :)
Two of my greatest addictions in life (other than my boyfriend, o’ course) are fashion and food. I have already tackled the online fashion world (my credit card can attest), so now I’m ready to embark into the virtual land of food. I am not too sure what I am getting myself into, but I am actually really excited to get started. Though a bit intimidated, I am determined to do this! My skills aren’t incredible, but I am learning and I love food, so that must count for something!
And I love healthy food. Deep-fried, high fat, fast food, and pre-packaged meals simply don’t agree with me. I get sick immediately (and for days). I suppose it’s a blessing in disguise. But give me a plate of roasted vegetables and whole grains and I’ll be a happy camper!
And I am addicted to breakfast. It’s my favorite meal of the day. Most people feel ill when they eat breakfast, my body works the exact opposite - I get sick if I skip breakfast. That being said, oatmeal is by far one of my favorite dishes. I’ll eat it any time of day.
AND (last one, I promise) I adore peanut butter. I put it in anything (well, almost) - oatmeal, yogurt, pasta, sandwiches, smoothies, sauces. Lots. It doesn’t necessarily have to be peanut butter either - almond, cashew, walnut - they’re all good. I’ve even attempted soy varieties (not bad, just not the same) and PB2 (a powdered version). Nothing beats the real thing tho.
So, back to the blog. Just a few housekeeping issues.
